Dramatic analysis – “Austria, island of the blessed because of terror scene”

Date:

In the current “political duel” on krone.tv between Eva Glawischnig and Andreas Mölzer, in addition to the controversial terror law, the increasing Islamization in Austria, the payment of a minimum income in Vienna and the situation of the small parties six weeks before the National Council elections are discussed.

In the absence of a terror law, Chancellor Karl Nehammer’s proposal for strict supervision of courier services was criticized. Eva Glawischnig: “This was about the Federal Trojan. A reading software from which nothing may remain hidden. If this monitoring option comes without restrictions, you are an open book. This should therefore only be possible with judicial approval. So it is a kind of mini-Trojan.”

Andreas Mölzer agrees: “If, as the ÖVP has suggested, everyone can be monitored, then that is the transparent person. Nobody wants that.” So there must be valid reasons to be able to monitor individual people. From the point of view of both duelists, complete mass surveillance is unthinkable. Mölzer: “The trained Austrian distrusts the state.”

In any case, there still needs to be some kind of terror law. This exists in Germany and other countries, but not in Austria. Glawischnig: “Austria is the island of the blessed for the terror scene.” Mölzer: “The hospitable culture of the left half of the empire made this possible.”

Radical political Islam is mainstream
When it comes to the topic of ‘Islamization’, the Islamic religious community must also be taken into account, according to Eva Glawischnig: ‘They have to look at what is happening and being discussed within their community, even in Andreas’ backyards.’ Mölzer quotes a report describing the current situation. Austria sums it up: “Radical political Islam has already become the mainstream of Islam. They want dominance on the streets.” Glawischnig admits: “I would give the police the Federal Trojan in their hands. But deciding who gets checked and who doesn’t is police work. Germany has won.”

When it comes to social assistance, there must be a clear incentive for those receiving a minimum income to integrate into working life as quickly as possible. Mölzer, grumbling: “With social assistance for refugees, we have created an attraction for people. This is a problem in Syria and the Middle East. And we have a more liberal form of family reunification. This distorts the system and we must stop it.”

You can see the respective positions of the two duelists on this and the role of small parties like Dominik Wlazny or Madeleine Petrovic and other political topics in the video above.
