The leader of Sumar Muimendua in Euskadi, Alba García, stressed that the aim of the meeting is to “build a movement that really changes Basque politics”.
Under the motto ‘Let’s change Basque politics’, Sumar Mugimendua will address the founding meeting at the CAV from September 23. The period for submitting nominations to the National Coordinator and the Guarantee Committee will open, and the process, which will be called ‘Mugimendua Eraikiz’, will end on December 1.
As Sumar Mugimendua said in a statement, the internal process will give the starting signal for the constitution of “a Basque political subject that is equal to the challenges and main problems of Basque citizenship.” The aim of the meeting, the note adds, is to “rearm ideologically and take root to make Euskadi a place of greater equality, a leader in ecological transition, feminist, at the forefront of the rights and freedoms of all Basques and Basque people.”
The formation explained that they will present the drafts of the treaty during the meetings political, organizational and ethical documentsand will also be published on the Internet. “They will be the ideological pillars that will mark the direction of the citizens’ movement as an instrument at the service of the people to continue to promote social rights in the country.”
He participatory debatewhich will take place between September 24 and November 10, will ensure that “anyone who wishes to participate in the collective construction of Sumar Mugimendua, both in his political, ethical and organizational thesis, can do so.”
