At the 35th state party conference of the FPÖ, state group Upper Austria, in Linz on Saturday, Vice-Governor Dr. Manfred Haimbuchner was confirmed in his office as chairman of the state party with 93.4 percent of the 439 delegates cast. Haimbuchner is the seventh provincial party chairman of the FPÖ Upper Austria and has been leading the provincial group since April 2010.
Federal party chairman Herbert Kickl congratulated Haimbuchner on the result, which he calls “great”: “I look forward to a close, intensive and good cooperation.”
The election of the Deputy State President was carried out openly en bloc, deputies Hermann Brückl, Gerhard Deimek, Rosa Ecker, Andreas Rabl and Michael Raml were unanimously elected.
