Junts general secretary Jordi Sanchez abruptly announced that he would not choose to renew his position in the party because “times require different work.”
Sanchez said this during his speech at the Consell Nacional de Junts, which is being held this Saturday in Alcaraz (Leida), and assured that this is a “fully made decision”. Whoever was the ANC president during the 1-O referendum thus paves the way for the junta to lead among the other leading actors in the party.
It was also announced that the party’s next congress would be held “in the first two weeks of June in Northern Catalonia” and would be attended by former General and party leader Carles Puigdemon and ministers Luis. Puig and Tony Comin.
