The General Coordinator of EH Bildu, Arnaldo Otegi, presented in Bergara the Political Presentation prepared by the Political Table of EH Bildu, which will be debated in the coming weeks.
EH Bildu has presented the basis for the coalition’s political presentation for the congress that will take place in February next year. During the presentation, the general coordinator of EH Bildu, Arnaldo Otegi, indicated that Euskal Herria was the “third national transformationTo do this he has indicated that we must “take a journey”. path to sovereignty that will be gradualyou have to respect the different areas “how they divided this country”.
The presentation took place at the Olaso Tower in Bergara, the house where Telesforo Monzon was born and where the President José Antonio Agirre and Telesforo himself played, Otegi pointed out.
The central thesis of the text revolves around “two findings,” as explained by the leader of the coalition: “the failure of neoliberalism“and” the failure of the autonomous relationship modelFaced with this scenario, the Political Table of EH Bildu calls for an end to neoliberal policies and demands a new political status, for which it considers it necessary to ‘restore national consciousness’ through the implementation of a ‘third transformation’.
He has indicated that this new model must “fundamentally address the country’s sovereignty needs, not only for national reconstruction but also to implement other types of government policies.” Likewise, he has defended that this path “must be gradual and respect the different areas that have divided the country.”
Otegi has emphasized that “no progress towards the restoration of sovereignty or progress towards national freedom can be made by negotiating as a party, but rather negotiate as a country“.
Deadlines
Otegi is convinced that the sovereigntist formation will emerge “absolutely strengthened” from this congress.
Today’s presentation kicks off the first term of the Congress, which will end after a debate process with the vote on the presentation and possible amendments on December 19, 20 and 21.
In a second term, the structure that will lead the coalition in the coming years will be decided. This phase will start on January 19 and will conclude on February 8 in Pamplona with a final meeting, where the vote for the new Political Table will take place and in which Arnaldo Otegi is expected to be re-elected as General Coordinator.
