He actually wants to be cautious with election recommendations, but now he is making an exception: on Wednesday, the former governor of California announced who he would vote for in the upcoming American elections. This may come as a surprise to some, especially given its political history.
“I’m not afraid to express my opinion, but I hate politics and don’t trust most politicians,” the “Terminator” begins his serious words on X (formerly Twitter).
The recommendation comes as no surprise to experts
Contrary to his party line, he will not vote for Donald Trump, but for Democrat Kamala Harris. Anyone who knows the Republican will not be surprised by his election recommendation, as he has often been more than critical of the perpetually blustering Donald Trump.
“I’ll be honest with you: I don’t like either side right now. My Republicans have forgotten the beauty of the free market, run up deficits and rejected election results. “The Democrats are no better at managing deficits, and I worry that their local policies are hurting our cities through rising crime,” Schwarzenegger continued.
“I want to switch off”
Politics was extremely frustrating for him – and so much so that he would like to quit, ‘but that’s not possible.’ He is always an American, and for him that goes beyond his party membership; and that’s exactly why he decided to vote Democratic this time.
“I believe there are many who feel the same way I do”
“I’m sharing this with all of you because I believe many of you feel the same way I do. You don’t recognize our country. And you are right to be angry.” The problems in the country would never end, everyone would become angrier: “The only ones who benefit from this nonsense are the politicians who prefer to make speeches to win elections rather than public service that would improve the lives of Americans.”
Yet he makes it clear what these elections are actually about. Arnie even considers a candidate who doesn’t respect a vote unless it’s his own, or who even sends supporters to storm the Capitol, to be bigger enemies than China, Russia, or North Korea.
Vote for Trump for “years of nonsense”
A vote for Trump is a vote for “four more years of nonsense without results that will make us increasingly angry, divided and hateful,” the former politician said clearly.
He continued, “We must close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know former President Trump will not do that. He will sow division, he will offend, he will find new ways to be even more un-American than he already was, and we, the people, will only be left with more problems.”
He does not agree with the political program of Harris and Waltz, but still calls on his supporters: “Go and vote. Turn the tide and leave this mess behind you.”
