“Together” with Trump – US/Austria: Chancellor wants to expand cooperation

Date:

Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) congratulated Republican Donald Trump on his upcoming victory in the US presidential elections.

“The US is an important strategic partner for Austria,” Nehammer wrote on X on Wednesday.

“We look forward to further expanding and strengthening our transatlantic relationships so that we can successfully tackle global challenges together.”

The Austrian Chancellor congratulates Trump on his – very likely – victory. Trump himself has already declared himself the winner of the election in a speech to his supporters in Palm Beach.

Trump promises ‘golden age’
“I thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected the 47th president,” the 78-year-old said. He promised a “golden age” for America and thanked his voters for their support. Trump’s running mate JD Vance called it the “greatest political comeback in the history of the United States.”

Trump wins key swing states
The TV channel Fox News has also declared former President Donald Trump the winner of the American presidential elections. In addition to his own strongholds, Trump also managed to win in the important swing states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia.

US Vice President Kamala Harris does not want to appear in front of her supporters on election night. She would not comment until Wednesday.
