Kamala’s silence after a bitter defeat

Date:

The Democratic candidate has suspended her speech to supporters on election night and will speak tomorrow as she believes votes “still” need to be counted.

Kamala’s dream fades after a fateful night. The messages from hope and inclusivity have not been enough so that the Vice President of the United States and candidate for the White House, Kamala Harris, can achieve victory in the United States elections.

The Democratic candidate has seen how Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for the White House, won in North Carolina and Georgia and presents himself as a virtual winner. Although vote counting continues, Harris’ chances of becoming the first female president of the United States are slim.

The candidate entered the final stages with confidence. He spent election night in the Howard University in Washingtonthe university where she studied in the 1980s and which has personal meaning for her. From there he monitored the results together with his followers.

Shortly after midnight and after learning of the defeat in these two key states, Harris canceled the message he was supposed to deliver from Howard University in Washington.

Cedric Richmond, co-director of Harris’ campaign, has reported that the Democratic candidate will not address her supporters tonight, although she is expected to speak tomorrow, as he believes there are “still” votes to be counted. “We still have states that have not yet been declared winners,” he noted.

In her final moments of the campaign, Kamala Harris focused on building support with messages of hope and inclusivity. Accompanied by public figures such as Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, she emphasized the urgency of upholding democratic principles. His closing speeches were in stark contrast to those of his opponent, who opted for a more aggressive tone.
