For its part, the government team of the Zarautz Municipal Council has condemned the “intimidation” that Inaxio Illarramendi received on Saturday evening at the Gaztetxe municipal building.
The statement says PNV and PSE-EE They expressed their “strongest condemnation” of this “attack” on Illarramendi because he was “an official democratically elected by the people of Zarautz”.
“Inaxio Illarramendi Lizarreta has the full support of all members of the government of the Zarautz Municipal Council in light of this unfortunate situation that represented an unacceptable attack on him and on the democratic values of the position,” they stressed.
For his part, EH Bildu has published a note denouncing the expulsion of the Socialist councilor from the gaztetxe and expressing its “support” for Illarramendi, as “what he has suffered is unacceptable”.
Likewise, the sovereigntist formation has assured that the gaztetxes are “open, free spaces and based on mutual respect” and are “even more of a public building.” In this sense, he demands that “this does not happen again.”
On the other hand, the Secretary General of the PSE-EE, Eneko Anduezathis morning in Euskadi Irratia denounced the intimidation suffered by the socialist councilor of Zarautz, Inaxio Illarramendi, in the city’s gaztetxe. According to him, it is “unbelievable” that a young man cannot enter a hall because he is a socialist.
