The general secretary of the Basque Socialists believes that the Basque government’s budgets for next year will be approved with the votes of Yeltzales and Socialists.
The General Secretary of the PSE-EE, Eneko Anduezabelieves that the budgets of next year’s Basque government will be approved thanks to the votes of the Yeltzales and the Socialists. This is indicated in a interview performed this Wednesday in the program “Faktoria” of Euskadi Irratia. Andueza believes that because these are the first budgets of this legislation, it will be difficult for the other parties to join the agreement.
About the tax reformAsked about the support needed by the governing parties in Gipuzkoa and Álava, the PSE-EE general secretary said that Elkarrekin has room to participate and distinguish himself in the negotiations. In this sense, Andueza has shown his willingness to put Elkarrekin in the spotlight, but he has also expressed doubts about the situation of the party and its way of acting. On tax reform, he believes that finding common ground is key, and as he has emphasized, his proposal has achieved this.
Asked about self-governmentAndueza has stressed that it is not legal to think that the Basque government and the Spanish government will always be on the same level, because that is against the law. However, Andueza says it is an ideal time to acquire a new status.
At the state level, he has cracked down on the US People’s Party. According to him, the people are acting “without scruples” to contradict the Spanish government.
On the other hand, Andueza has denounced the intimidation that Zarautz’s socialist councilor is said to have suffered. Inaxio Illarramendi in the local gaztetxe.
