Date:

For the last time before the state elections in Burgenland, the top candidates from the SPÖ, ÖVP, FPÖ, Greens, Neos and List Hausverstand meet on TV. The debate can be seen on Wednesday from 8:15 PM on krone.tv, Puls 24 and krone.at

So far the election campaign in Burgenland has been without great excitement. An exciting election Sunday is still guaranteed, as the vote could bring serious changes to the newest state.

In the elephant round of ‘Krone’ and Puls24, the candidates will meet one last time on Wednesday before election day. An exciting discussion is certainly guaranteed. All top candidates are present: Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ), Christian Sagartz (ÖVP), Norbert Hofer (FPÖ), Anja Haider-Wallner (Greens), Géza Molnár (Common Sense List) and Christoph Schneider (Neos).

The elephant round is moderated by Corinna Milborn, head of information at Puls24, and Klaus Herrmann, editor-in-chief of “Krone”. Under her leadership, the candidates will debate the current issues affecting the people of the country – from asylum to the country’s economic policies and possible post-election coalitions. Naturally, the latest developments in government formation at the federal level are also discussed. What is especially important for the two moderators is a lively discussion.

The candidates will also discuss among themselves and be asked to make quick decisions on various yes/no board questions. Immediately afterwards, Gundula Geiginger analyzes together with ‘Krone’ head of domestic policy Rainer Nowak, political scientist Kathrin Stainer-Hämmerle and pollster Christoph Haselmayer.
