The conversion of the ministries and authorities among the new US President Donald Trump continues. According to media reports, various employees of the Ministry of Justice are now released who were involved in the investigation against the 78-year-old Republican.
The provisional Minister of Justice James Mchenry has doubts “that they help with the loyal implementation of the president’s agenda,” said “Washington Post” and the Omroep ABC News, who quotes the Ministry of circles.
Special researchers resigned after Trump’s election victory
Under the predecessor of Trump, Joe Biden, the then Minister of Justice Merrick Garland had used the special researcher Jack Smith. Smith’s mission was to investigate Trump’s handling of secret documents after leaving the White House in 2021, as well as his alleged attempts to tip the result of the 2020 presidential elections.
After the election victory of Trump on November 5, the two criminal proceedings were abandoned. Smith justified this with the customs that the Ministry of Justice did not investigate the current president – he left the ministry. In a report, which includes around 130 pages, the special researcher emphasized that, in his opinion, Trump only escaped a conviction for election fraud thanks to his re -election.
