The office of the Public Prosecution Service of Innsbruck at the Regional Court of Criminal Affairs Vienna against the former Minister of Justice Dr. Wolfgang brandster brought in a criminal complaint.
The lawyer is being charged that in March 2022 he wrongly testified in the procedure for the ÖVP Corruption Committee by acting in fact that he could not have published his private mobile phone because he was not at home, but had it at home.
Due to the data from his mobile phone, it turned out that Dr. Brandstetter actually had his mobile phone with himself and in use. He granted this in the investigation and declared his truthful statement of 31 March 2022 as gaps in memory for health care complaints.
The public prosecutor therefore takes a deliberate false statement and has therefore filed a criminal complaint to the local responsible regional court for criminal cases for the crime of the wrong evidence. The suspicion of innocence applies.
