The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Senskyj sees a lot of trouble in the statements of the US Minister of Defense Pete Hegseeth and other government representatives for a possible cease -the fire with Russia.
“The problem is that the US today say things that are very pleasant for Putin,” Senskyj said in an interview with Ard journalist Sandra Maischberger on the edge of the Munich safety conference.
He added: “I think that’s the core. Because they want to please him. Do you know what for? To meet each other and to have a quick success. But what you want – ‘just a wanting tube’ – that is not a success.
Senskyj was crucial in the “Maischberger” interview in particular with regard to the American Minister of Defense Hegseeth, who meant that, among other things, a return of Ukraine to her borders from 2014 was “unrealistic”.
Establishment of the office possible
Senskyj complained that these are “very general statements” of a “minister who is new in office” and added: “The Minister of Defense should work deeper in the details. I think he needs time for that.”
Senskyj generally said he was avoided his office. “If Ukraine will be admitted to the EU and NATO tomorrow, when Russian troops withdraw and we have security guarantees, I no longer need it,” Senskyj said. “I think I have everything. But as long as we don’t have it, I will defend my country.
