US President Donald Trump wants to rewrite the history of the United States by decree. Vice -President JD Vance must now go to museums and ensure that they will only receive money for certain exhibitions in the future. “Common American values” should not be reduced, said it.
In the past decade, attempts have been made to “rewrite the history of our country and to replace facts with a distorted story that is more of ideology than truth,” Trump wrote in the decree. “The incomparable heritage of our nation, the freedom, rights of the individual and the happiness of people who drive forward was presented as racist, sexist, explicitly or otherwise unmanageable with mistakes.”
As a negative example, the exhibition “The Shape of Power: Stories of Race and American Sculpture” is mentioned in the decree. This represents the statement that differences between people are used to hide them and retain power. Moreover, sculptures would be demonstrated as if they were promoting scientific racism.
The relatively new National Museum of African American History and Culture, which is devoted to African -American history, and the American Women’s History Museum also pulled the wrath of Trump.
Vice President Vance has now been commissioned to bring “inappropriate ideology” from museums to the Washington zoo and research institutions. The zoo is also part of the Smithsonian Institution, which mainly operates museums in Washington.
