As is known, “Krone” reported a new clearing in the health care system about possible hospital closures in LoWower Austria. Nevertheless, the waves go up. In the event announced as a “Silent Protest” campaign in Gmünd, there was a scandal. A national councilor of ÖVP was spit.
The first revelations of the “Kroon” about possible hospital closures in Lower Austria caused many vertebrae in the fall. When the non -party -bound health pact was presented in March, there was lighting in many places, but also in some places disillusion.
For example in Gmünd, where 3,000 people protested against the closure of the state clinic at the beginning of the month. The location must be replaced in time by a new health clinic. The campaign was announced as a “quiet protest”. Not all participants have done the right to this.
“Fortunately an isolated case”
As the “Kroon” learned, various politicians were confronted with hostility. The ÖVP politician Martina Diesner-Wais was even spit by a participant. “Fortunately it was an isolated matter. Otherwise the campaign went,” confirms the national councilor. She did not report the case – and continues to concentrate on the people on the site. A corresponding resolution was sent to the state government.
Elisabeth Brüntigam, head of the State Health Agency (LGA), assures the demonstrators that “changes are only made when better variants are already available”.
