A planned visit from the American Vice President James David Vance in the Colosseum in Rome caused problems among the tourists on Saturday afternoon. The Rome monument was closed at 5 p.m. Because of the announced visit to Vans, his wife and three children and not at 7:15 pm.
This led to the violent protest of hundreds of visitors who stood in line to visit the amphitheater in the heart of Rome.
Vance canceled Colosseum -Visit
“Shame, let’s go inside!” Some tourists shouted. The problems grew when they discovered that Vance had canceled the visit and only appeared to his wife for the Tour.
The management of the Colosse Archaeological Park, which managed the monument, assured that they had reimbursed the entrance ticket for the visitors who could not enter the monument because of the planned Inspection of VersC. Many tourists answered.
Chaotic conditions in Rome
Vance’s visit to Rome caused excitement in the city. On Friday there were chaotic conditions in the Roman Nobelviertel Parioli, where Vance and his family were staying because various streets were blocked for safety reasons. The traffic came to a halt, citizens reacted upgrade.
During his visit to Rome, Vance met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Friday. On Saturday he was welcomed by State Secretary Cardinal Pietro Parolin in the Vatican. On Sunday, Vance, transferred to Catholicism, will attend the St. Peter’s Square of the Easter mass.
