You need “patience” – Netanyahu fiercely rejects the end of the Gaza war

Date:

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to reduce the hostages from the Gaza Strip without fulfilling the demands of the radical Islamic Hamas. “I think we can bring our hostages home without bending the Hamas dictations,” Netanyahu said on Saturday and announced a continuation of the military mission in the Gaza Strip. The latter has reached a “critical phase”, said the government’s head.

Israel needs “patience and determination to win,” says Netanyahu. On Thursday, Hamas rejected a new Israeli proposal for a ceasefiring -fire in the Gaza war. Since then, Netanyahu had not commented on the public. In a television speech, he now said that a termination of the war under the “capitulation conditions” of the Hamas “would be a message to all the enemies of Israel” that Israel can be “forced” by kidnapping and “that terrorism pays off”. According to Netanyahus, this message would “endanger the entire open world”.

The Hamas demands “the end of the war and the continuation of the rule” and a complete withdrawal of the Israeli army, Netanyahu said. However, this would enable Hamas to “upgrade again and to plan further attacks on us”. “That is why I ask you: have our soldiers fought for free? Have our heroes fallen for free and they suffered for free?” Said Netanyahu.

Geisel -Members: Netanyahu has “no plan”
The forum of the hostages then stated that Netanyahu had “no plan” to get the hostages for free. However, there was a “clear, feasible and urgent solution”, which could be reached immediately, explained the forum and called “an agreement that all brings home – even if that means an attitude of the fighting”.

On Thursday, Hamas had rejected an Israeli proposal for a 45-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Israel had therefore called for the release of ten living people who were deported to the Gaza strips on October 7, 2023 in her attack on Israel.

According to Hamas, the proposal also included the release of 1231 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons and the resumption of assistance in the Gaza Strip. Moreover, Israel called for the disarmament of Hamas and other Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip to reach a permanent end of the war. Hamas rejects this.

58 hostages in Hamas’s violence
Israel resumed its huge air strikes on Hamas goals in the Gaza Strip in mid-March after a two-month ceasefire. Israel also started a new soil offensive. The explanation of military operation is to increase the pressure on Hamas to free the remaining Israeli hostages. 58 people are still under the violence of the Islamists, 34 of them are already dead, according to the Israeli army.

On Saturday, Israel announced the death of a soldier for the first time since the fighting in the Gaza Strip. The 35-year-old was killed in fighting in the north of the Palestinian area, the army said. A soldier and two soldiers were injured.
