Ex-finance minister Karl-Heinz Grasser and former politician Walter Meischberger have to be in prison within a month. You and your lawyers have now received the corresponding letter of the judiciary.
The convicts must now come to the judiciary that is intended for them within one month of the day of the call letter from the judiciary – including the “standard” reports. Grasser is housed in the judiciary in Innsbruck because he lives with his family in Kitzbühel. Meischberger, who lives in Lower Austria, will take his detention with us in the judge of Korleuburg. Grasser was sentenced to four years in prison, Meischberger in 3.5 years. In prisoners from the age of three, they are only absolutely imposed.
The former finance minister was convicted in the BUBOG process and in the case of the terminal tower Linz for unfaithfulness and acceptance by civil servants. His former best man and lobbyist Hochegger received a judgment for help – three years in prison, two of them. He can wear a stand.
Damage to the Republic must be paid
Grasser, Meischberger, the former Immofinanz boss Karl Petrikovics, who received twelve months, and an ex-manager of the Raiffeisen Landesbank-Bank-Bank-Bank must also pay for the damage of the Republic for the amount of ten million euros plus interest. Because the veiled people are liable in solidarity, the Republic of Austria can choose whose compensation. This person can then get the money with the others.
Meischberger is already bankrupt, Grasser also submitted a bankruptcy application on Wednesday. The court will soon decide whether the procedure will be opened.
