Carlos Mur and Francisco Javier Martínez Peromingo must explain on Monday as investigated for their role in the management of homes during the first wave of the Pandemie
The Court of Instruction 3 of Madrid has called on on Monday 26 May, two former functions of the regional government, Carlos Mur and Francisco Javier Martínez Peromingo, for their involvement in involvement in the involvement in the Hospital Department Protocols applied in homes during the first wave of the COVID-19.
Mur, then general director of Socio -Health Coordination, signed the controversial protocols in March 2020, and then Peromgo, then responsible for homes of the Móstoles area, developed the complementary technical protocol. Both must appear as investigated after reopening an archived cause for almost three years.
Reopening takes place after a Collective complaint presented in October 2024 by 109 family members of victimsDriven by the platforms of houses and 7291 truth and justice. The office of the provincial public prosecutor requested the investigation of the signatories of the protocols for an alleged crime of discriminatory health assistance, characterized in Article 511 of the Criminal Code.
The reopening of the cause marks a turn in a study that so far no politicians or technicians had reached at a high level. The Madrid court is the first to reopen such proceedings, while another ten have maintained the archive, a decision that was appealed by both the complainants and the office of the public prosecutor.
In total there are 92 procedures with regard to the application of these protocols in homes, several still pending admission or in the appeal before the provincial court.
