The debate on the state of the nation continues in Congress this afternoon with the intervention of parliamentary groups.
The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarrahas strongly denounced the management of the president of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchez, whom he has accused of not being “self-critical” or proposing measures to combat inflation or the energy crisis that Spain is battling. “The Frankenstein government is no longer giving of itself, it is a failed and exhausted project,” he assured.
This is how he spoke in his speech during the debate on the state of the nation in Congress, the first in seven years, attended by the leader of his party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who listened to the speech of his “number two” from the Popular Group bank.
Gamarra, who began his speech with a minute of silence for the victims of ETA and denounced the pacts between the PSOE Executive and United We Can with EH Bildu, stated that Sánchez “is unable” to curb inflation and blamed him that he was not “helped” by the PP by accepting Feijóo’s measures, such as lowering income taxes for the middle and lower classes, streamlining European funds and reducing his “macro government”.
In addition, the PP leader has denounced that the “divided and divided” government of PSOE and United We Can is “more concerned with resolving their differences than with the problems of the Spaniards”. “His social policy has failed and he will leave Spain worse than he found it,” he snapped at Sanchez.
