“On the last Tuesday my father fell peacefully after a difficult time,” Kickl wrote in a message on Facebook. “My pain and my grief are great. It hurts a lot. But at the same time I feel a deep peace. Because I feel and know: my father only turned off his mortal scale and went home to his master,” the blue frontman gives rare insight into his soul life.

At the same time, he thanks his supporters for the sympathy and the “loving and comforting words” who have reached him and his family. Also on Facebook, thousands of condolences have arrived within a very short time – including Chancellor Christian Stocker (ÖVP): “My sincere condolences to the loss of her father. A lot of strength in these difficult hours for her and your family.”
