According to the leader of the Basque PP, if the president of Galicia accepts to lead the party, the “alternative of the PP to the government of Sánchez” will be strengthened.

The Basque leader has explained that there was “discomfort, anger and sadness” among the voters and the popular army, for which Casado had to make the decision not to appear at the congress. According to Iturgaiz, if Feijóo agrees to chair the PP, the popular alternative to the Sánchez government will be strengthened.
Iturgaiz has avoided referring to Vox, defending his party as the “alternative to Sánchez”. “Feijóo has won many elections because he has great management and is a great president of Galicia. That this management can be exported to all of Spain with Feijóo will make Spanish citizens excited,” he said.
