Carat incorporation for FC Cartagena subsidiary announced this Thursday. Luis Castillo (Benidorm, age 25) joins the Pepe Aguilar boys’ project to strengthen the midfield and bring a dose of experience to that area.
The player, who has played in the positions of attacking midfielder, interior and right back during his career, will give alternatives on the central plot of the field.
He is a footballer who was trained in the youth academy of UCAM Murcia where he made his debut in the first team. With the university team, he played 13 games in Tweede B.
His interesting performance at Murcia led to his signing for Yeclano, where he showed the best level of his career to date. In the 2019-20 season, under the command of Alejandro Sandroni, it certainly exploded. In that campaign, he entered the promotion phase to contest Second with the entire Highlands.
The following season, he continued in the aforementioned team, but collectively things did not go so well for him as they were relegated. However, on an individual level, he continued to perform very well.
57 games in Second B were his final balance just before signing for Deportivo Linares of the First Federation early last season. After alternating titles with substitutions, he ended up in the winter market in Alcoyano, where he could not be a starter. Now he arrives in Cartagena with the aim of reviving his sports career and running a dressing room made up mostly of young talents.
