As announced by President of Aragon Javier Lambán this week the Aragonese Government published his proposal on how, in his opinion, the distribution of Pyrenees Winter Olympicsafter showing their disagreement with the proposal is explained in the technical agreement previously reached by all parties involved.
For this purpose, the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of Aragon, Felipe Facitraveled to Madrid yesterday to deliver to President of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) Alejandro Blanco the proposal on which he traveled.
After a few hours the COE issued a statement in which it featured that the proposal changed some of the agreed points and that in the next few days it would call a meeting to find the definitive solution.

“This morning a meeting took place at the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee with the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of Aragon, Felipe Faci, where he presented to the president of the COE, Alejandro Blanco, a new proposal. For on the possible candidacy of the 2030 Winter Olympics.
This measure changes in some respects what has been presented, debated and agreed upon by the Technical Commission created for this purpose and in which the following participated:
– 3 representatives of the Government of Spain.
– 3 representatives of the Generalitat de Catalunya
– 3 representatives of the Government of Aragon
– 3 representatives of the Spanish Olympic Committee
The Spanish Olympic Committee will convene, in the coming days, a meeting to find the definitive solution of the candidacy presented to the International Olympic Committee of the Spanish Olympic Committee and supported by the Government of Spain to celebrate the 2030 Winter Olympic Games in Catalonia and Aragon “
