McEnroe, after finally winning the Laver Cup: “Incredible is not enough”

John McEnroecaptain of the Rest of the World, assured that “incredible is not enough” to describe his first victory in Laver Cup.

The American caught the rivals of Europe since the first edition in Prague in 2017, but they always lose.

“It’s not incredible enough, McEnroe said after coming back from 8-4 on Sunday. We lost a lot of times, but we came close. This is an amazing group of guys,” he said.

“I can’t imagine a better week than this. We’ve had Rod Laver, my childhood idol, Roger Federerwith one of the best nights I can remember…”.

On the comeback, capped by three straight wins this Sunday, McEnroe said he trusted the team and told them they could do it.

“Felix (Auger-Aliassime) stepped up, Sock is a good doubles player and Francis (Tiafoe) loves these moments.”
