Juventus on Tuesday denied any irregularities in their accounts on their charges after the Prosecutor’s Office concluded its investigation into the forgery of said accounts and market manipulation by the Turin club. Andrea Agnelli, president of Juventus, and other leaders of that entity could be sent to trial. In total, there are 15 suspects in the case, including Agnelli and Vice President Pavel Nedved.
Juventus issued a statement where he claims to have acted “according to the rules and in accordance with international practices in the football industry.” The Turin Public Prosecutor said that Juventus underestimated its financial losses in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
According to Italian media such as Corriere della Sera or La Gazzetta dello Sport, Prosecutors have even requested house arrest for Agnelli as a preventive measure in early October. However, the investigating judge rejected the proposal for “lack of precautionary requirements”.
