Lamdassem: “I hope to improve my mark in the marathon and go below 2:06”

The Spanish athlete Ayad Lamdassem41, this Friday this Sunday he hopes to improve his mark in the distance of 42 kilometers (2:06:25) and lost in 2:06 at the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon.

In the women’s event, the great favorite is the athlete marta galimanywho was the best runner of the Spanish marathon in the last decade (2:27:08), who declared that “my goal is always to improve my personal bests and improving my score is close to chasing the record, they say that the third time is the charm, and this is my third time to beat him.”

“I’m in love with Valencia, I want to run in this city and I’m happy. I am a better athlete every year, every year I add training sessions and I improve, even if the record is a number, we don’t have to be obsessed with it, but I want to improve as an athlete and improve my grades ”, he added.

As for whether he feels pressure to be the leader, Galimany expressed that he wants to. “When I started in athletics, I had no idea, seeing that people look at me and they know if I will make a mark or not is a source of pride”he said.

“I have no pressure, for me it is motivation to see that people are aware of me and if with my work I can motivate other people there is nothing better,” he added.
