It is a measure of the Spanish government to fight against telephone scams and via SMS.
This Saturday, June 7, the ban on commercial calls of mobile numbers, a measure that is included in the Spanish government plan to fight against telephone scam and by SMS, will be in operation in the Spanish state.
The measure, collected in the TDF/149/2025 order from the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Public Function and Published on 15 February, aims to stop using national mobile numbering by the “Pirates” to try to take the imitation of identity with which, for example, confidential information from users, such as their banking data.
One of the measures being considered by the government’s plan to fight against telephone scam and by SMS has to do with the numbers 800 and 900 (both free) to publish calls, because they could receive them alone.
In this way, commercial calls can be made of numbers that are specially attributed to them (such as 1004 Telefónica), of geographical numbering or of the aforementioned 800 or 900.
