Maiyo Johnstone Kibet, 34 years old, sanctioned for three years upon detection EPO in his blood. The Kenyan athlete does not have very remarkable results, his best mark in the marathon is from 2011 (2:10:02), but he will be suspended. The sanction will start on July 20, 2022 and it means nullification of all his results from May 29.
Alice Jepkemboi Kimutaia 30-year-old athlete who on November 6 won the Porto Marathon With a time of 2:29:58, he underwent a surprise doping control on September 20 at Sea turtletown where the training camp of Kipchoge and the NN Running Teamand in sample traces of testosterone which his body did not do.
It was sanctioned for three years, starting November 16, 2022, and therefore disqualified from Porto Marathon as its results were canceled from September 20.
The most notable case is the Mark Otieno Odhiamboworld medalist part of the Kenyan 4x200m relay that won silver at World Relay Championships in Poland (2021). He is the second fastest Kenyan in history at 100m and he has found himself methasteronealso known as superdrol1, an anabolic steroid similar to testosterone.
His sanction will start on July 21, 2021 and all his results will be annulled on June 24, allowing him to keep the medal of World Relay because it was played on May 1 and 2.
