The Rangers reached the Cup final after beating Celtic in extra time

The Rangers, who qualified for the Europa League semi-final by beating Portuguese side Braga, closed out their spectacular week with another moment of joy, reaching the Scottish Cup final at the expense of their eternal rival, the Celtic, whom they defeated in the extension (1- 2).

The team led by Dutchman Giovanni van Bronckhorst took revenge for the last Glasgow derbies and they will fight for the title against the Hearts, who also beat Hibernian 2-1, but at home, last year’s cup runner-up in by falling in the final against St. Johnstone.

Celtic took the lead at Hampden Park in the 64th minute through a goal from Greg Taylor but the Rangers did not give up, forced extra time through Canadian Scott Arfield (m.78) and scored a comeback through own goal from Carl Starfelt of Sweden (m. .114).

The Rangers will try to take their 34th cup title and move within six Celtic, while Hearts is chasing the ninth.
