The Real Madrid was presented with a statement of “thank you”, “admiration” and “love” to his former player Gareth Bale after the Welshman announced his retirement from professional football.

The Real Madrid highlighted the 19 titles Bale won during his nine seasons at the club, since his arrival in 2013, and pointed out: “Gareth Bale has been part of our team during one of the most successful periods in our history and will forever be represent many of the brightest moments of the last decade.”
Among them, “his goal after an unforgettable run in the final of Copa del Rey of Valencia in 2014, his transcendental goal in the Champions League final in Lisbon in 2014 or his goals in the final of Champions League in kyiv in 2018, especially the Chilean who will forever be etched in the memory of all football lovers”.
