Asier Villalibre will remain linked to Athletic until June 30, 2025. The rojiblanco striker has agreed with the Bilbao club to extend his contract for two more seasons. The president and players formally signed the new bond today.
“The renewal is a joy and if it is with Athletic, even more. This is the team of my life. I have enjoyed it from a young age and it fills me with pride to be able to extend my relationship,” Villalibre said in a statement made on the official website of the rojiblanco club.
“There have been some years here, with very good moments and others not so good, but I feel the trust of the club in me, as I trust in myself and in Athletic, which is what is important,” added the striker of Gernika.
President Jon Uriarte and sporting director Mikel González were present at the signing of this new contractual relationship. Villalibre, 25 years old, has accumulated 103 official matches as a lion with the baggage of scoring 13 goals.
