The wave of physical problems at Real Madrid continues. The white team lost to another team in the hours before the semi-final match of the World Cup for clubs against Al-Ahly. Marco Asensio was unavailable for Carlo Ancelotti for the duel against the Egyptians due to discomfort in his left leg, initially of no great significance, but which invited him to rest to avoid further injuries.
The Balearic player trained with the rest of his teammates in Rabat, although he wore a cumbersome bandage on his left leg. Given the situation, and after consulting Madrid’s doctors, Carletto made the decision to exclude the footballer from the game, reducing his meager attacker list to just three.
And it is that neither Karim Benzema nor Eden Hazard have traveled to Morocco. A total of seven victims in a selection of 23 players, including footballers with hardly any options such as Jesús Vallejo, Odriozola or Mariano. Given the situation, Ancelotti has few options beyond the starting eleven, pointing to the occasional lack of planning for a side punished by a brutal calendar.
