This team endurance test will be held from 15 to 17 September
Included in the Community’s 2023 Sports Tourism Plan, the ‘Non Stop Madrid-Murcia’ all-terrain bike race (MTB) will return after the summer to position the region as a national benchmark for sport and adventure. This team endurance test opens registration next Thursday and will be held from September 15 to 17. The event was attended by the Mayor of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano; the Councilor for Culture, Tourism and Sports, Pedro García Rex; Sports General Manager Francisco Sánchez and RPM Sports General Manager José Ignacio Hernández
“Not only is it one of the most spectacular and exciting events on the national calendar, but it is also an exceptional showcase for the Region as a sports and tourism destination, making it possible to showcase its landscape, cultural and natural resources and unifying values such as effort and camaraderie,” explains Sports General Manager Francisco Javier Sánchez.
Open to sports fans, the race will allow people to relive the adventure of crossing Spain from the center to the southeast, from Rivas Vaciamadrid to Murcia, on a route of more than 600 kilometers without stops and enjoying unique places, both days as night. Francisco Javier Sánchez stressed that the region of Murcia has “first-class sports and tourism events, as evidenced by this test, which shows that tourism and sports are a fundamental axis in the management of the regional government, which is considering this year the celebration of 150 major sporting events, thirty more than in 2022 ».
