Luis Rubiales is running for re-election as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee

The UEFA announced this Thursday the final list of candidates for the positions of UEFA President and UEFA Executive Committee members to be elected at the forty-seventh Ordinary UEFA Congress to be held in Lisbon on April 5.

Congress where the Slovenian will be re-elected as president Alexander Ceferinbecause he was also the only one who formally filed his candidacy.

And where Luis Rubiales He is also running for re-election within the Executive Committee where he is currently a part of. Specifically for the next four years, in the period from 2023 to 2027.

There are ten candidates for this Executive Committee which consists of seven members and which, in addition to the current president of the RFEF, Jesper Møller Christensen from Denmark, the French Philippe Diallo, the Albanian Armand Duka, the Czech Petr Fousek ,

Lise Klaveness from Norway; Georgian Levan Kobiashvili, Ukrainian Andri Pavelko, Scotsman Rod Petrie,

Hugo Quaderer from Liechtenstein and Björn Vassallo from Malta. In addition to the RFEF president, the Albanian and the Ukrainian are also running for re-election to this position.

All candidates underwent an eligibility test conducted by an election committee consisting of members of UEFA’s Governance and Compliance Committee and all of them successfully passed this eligibility test.

In addition, the Welsh Laura McAllister was presented as a candidate for a female member position on the UEFA Executive Committee also for four years.

Finally there is the German Hans-Joachim Watzke as a candidate for a position as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee for a two-year term.
