The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has updated the calendar for the FIM Baja World Cup 2023 with the introduction of a new competition format with a minimum of four and a maximum of ten tests, to be split between the Gulf countries and Europe.
The competition started in Saudi Baja, and the second test is scheduled in Qatar in mid-Marchalthough there are two tests scheduled in Spain and one in Hungary before the summer break which continues in October in Portugal and ends in November with races in the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
So, the World Cup champion will be decided as follows: if between seven and ten tests are held, only the six best driver positions will count for the final classification and if six or fewer tests are contested, all scores will be considered.
