Berlusconi plans to sell part of Monza

The Berlusconi family, owners of Monza, are studying the sale a minority stake in the club, which under his current ownership has achieved promotion to Serie A.

Berlusconi is looking for investors which helps the Fininvest team cover the costs involved in keeping the team in the top flight for years to come. Monza could be the last of the Italian clubs to have foreign investors.

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconiwhich previously owned AC Milan, acquired Monza in 2018, when it was playing in Serie C, for 3 million euros.

Since Fininvest acquired Monza, the club has accumulated losses of more than 70 million euros and the number will increase due to the investments so that the team can continue to compete in the most important league in Italy.
