The majority of txuri urdin fans who traveled to Rome to support Real Sociedad met today in the emblematic Piazza del Popolo Plaza del Pueblo, warming up for the first round of the Europa League round of 16 against the team led by the Portuguese Jose Mourinho.
The Real’s mascot, ‘Txurdin’, livened up the Roman day where it was expected about two thousand realistic fans entered the stadium to encourage the students of Imanol Alguacil.
Between the chants and the good atmosphere, the fans defended their left feet, the feet of Oyárzabal and Silva, against the most dangerous of the ‘giallorosso’ team, Dybala.
“Man, Silva is a magician,” a Txuri Urdin follower told EFE. “We stayed with Silva and Oyarzábal before Dybala”, concluded another.
They also defended their coach, who on Wednesday praised Mourinho in the press conference before the clash.
“I hope the compliments are reciprocated and Mou appreciates Imanol. It’s my first time to follow Real outside of Spain and I’m very excited, I hope the result will be good,” said another fan.
Fans of the Basque team will have several buses available from the central Roman square to go directly to the Olympic Stadium where the match will be held starting at 6:45 pm local time.
