Controversial celebration of a goal in Mexico

Date:

The front Henry Martingoalscorer of America of Mexican soccer, received an economic fine Tuesday for a celebration in bad taste after scoring Saturday in his team’s 4-2 victory over Guadalajara at the close of the tournament. Liga Mx’s disciplinary commission confirmed Martín’s punishment based on its regulations prohibiting conduct prejudicial to fair play.

After scoring his eleventh goal in the championship, confirming him as the Clausura’s top scorer, Martín adopted the position of a dog who urinated on the opposing team’s goal, a celebration described as grotesque in the soccer media. In the video (below) it is almost not appreciated because it happens at the end.

var x = document.createElement(‘script’);

x.setAttribute(“src”, “//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js”);
x.setAttribute(“charset”, “utf-8”);
$(“.twitter-tweet”).closest( “span” ).append(x);
});

“Club América has been warned about the future behavior of its players and coaching staff, because should this type of action happen again, the disciplinary commission may impose more severe sanctions against them,” said of a statement distributed to the media.

Martín, a World Cup player with Mexico in the last World Cup, has been one of the best performing forwards in the league for the past two years, which he confirmed in the Clausura, where he scored almost a goal per game .
