The National Police An employee of the Eurostars Madrid Tower hotel was arrested on Monday accused of posting racist comments on his Instagram profile against the Moroccan soccer team, which is staying at the said establishment, police sources told EFE.
It was a 27-year-old worker of Spanish nationality who allegedly wrote, among other comments, the following insults: “The choice of Morocco in Towers, you are a bunch of balls. Damn fucking morons. I hate Ramadan and their dead.
The Moroccan team is staying at the aforementioned hotel as it will face Peru in a friendly match this Tuesday at 9:30 pm in Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium From the capital.
The employee attached several photos in which members of the Moroccan expedition appeared in the hotel’s dining room and protested, according to another publication, for being “serving Ramadan shit and their fucking shitty beliefs .”
The insults caused an uproar in the Moroccan press, leading the worker to delete the posts on his profile.
Around 12:00 am this Monday, National Police officers appeared at the Eurostars Madrid Tower, located in the Cuatro Torres business park, to arrest the author of the racist comments, accused of a hate crime.
