The legendary Italian pilot Giacomo Agostini is one of the winners of V City of Jerez Motor Awardswhich will be delivered this Thursday in an event scheduled in Alameda Cristina in the town that hosts the Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix, which will be held from Friday at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit.
Augustine80 years old, is the rider with the most titles won in the Motorcycle World Championship, between 1966 and 1975, by doubling the events and winning two titles in the same season, which happened five times.
In total, the Italian rider won fifteen world titles in the extinct 350cc and 500cc categories, ten of them in those five seasons and the rest in a single campaign.
Another of the awards granted by the jury of these awards, made up of motor sports specialists, is for the Spanish pilot. Laia Sanztwenty times world champion between the trials and enduro disciplines.
The 37-year-old Catalan also won the prestigious Dakar Rally and for all his achievements he was designated worthy of this award, which in previous editions has been achieved by, among other personalities, pilot like Italian.
