Very painful statement from Spanish minority shareholders

Date:

The Association of Petits i Mitjans Accionistes de l’ESpanyol (APMAE) has been shown very critical in the current ownership of the club, in the hands of a Chinese businessman Chen Yansheng. APMAE positioned itself this Tuesday through a public statement at the end of its Ordinary Assembly.

In its statement, APMAE accuses the Board of Directors of “not having the will or know how to understand the essence of an institution with 123 years of history (…) the serious public order incident (after the derby on Sunday) another example of adrift of the current Council’s management project”.

Carlos Bosch, president of APMAE, described the club’s situation as “critical”, saying that Chen “He does not know how to surround himself with a team of professionals“enough. “We find ourselves with an almost autocratic model, far from the Spanish social reality. AND every season the club’s value decreases everywhere”, he added, before finishing: “The Council and its president give a sense of existence abandoned project”.

And against this situation, they promote “a model more open to the Spanish and the inclusion of relevant people from the Spanish in the Council.” Bosch concluded by urging the current president to establish “under what conditions it will be open to a sale and/or entry of third party investors”.

Despite harsh criticism of the governing body of the entity, APMAE is appealing to consume “math options” of permanence, urging the players to fight to the end and the fans “to keep having fun like they always do.”
