The women’s team did not achieve any podium at the individual level but only finished second behind Germany, whose athletes dominated the race with the victory of Alina Reh (32:15.47) and copper of Domenica Mayer. The money went to the Ukrainian Valerie Zinenko.
The first Spanish finisher was Ester Navarrete, who in her third European Cup stopped the clock in seventh with 32:45.04, just four seconds less than her teammate Cristina Ruiz (32:49.60), debutant in competition, coming into the event with the best mark (32:08.70) of anyone recorded on this course.
