Celtic Glasgow announced on Monday the acquisition of Brendan Rodgers as their new coach, four years after the Englishman left the Scots to coach Leicester City.
Rodgers, who won seven titles in his first spell at Celtic between 2016 and 2019, was sacked by leicester in the final stages of last season due to the poor results of the ‘Foxes’, which ended up being relegated to the Championship (English Second Division). The coach signed a three-year contract with Celtic, where he replaced Ange Postecoglouwho left a few weeks ago to manage Tottenham Hotspur.
“I’m delighted to be back at Celtic and have this opportunity. When I was given the privilege to return to the club, it was a very easy decision for me and my family. We’ve had some good chances here and my aim is to develop good football and make sure we bring new successes for our fans,” said Rodgers.
