Qatar Airways reported record annual revenue of 76.3 billion Qatari riyals ($21 billion) on Wednesday, boosted by a larger customer base after the Doha-based airline hosted world of FIFA as partner and official airline.
Net income for the 2022-2023 fiscal year reached $1.21 billion, the company said in a statement. The airline carried 31.7 million passengers that year, representing a year-on-year increase of 71%.
The airline posted a load factor of 80%, the highest in the company’s history. During the World Cup, Qatar Airways operated about 14,000 flights, bringing more than 1.4 million fans to the Arab country.
