Memories of another time

Date:

The month of July is present in my mind because of the various events and activities that marked my childhood and adolescence. On the one hand, of course, there is San Fermín and early risers but not to be missed. The alarm was ordered at 7:55 to see the runners run away from the bulls, although I did not understand anything. On the other hand, there was the Donosti Cup, a fantastic end to the seasons I first loved as a player, and eventually introduced me to the world of coaches until I ended up becoming one. Holidays in Benidorm or Grand Prix nights with the family also deserve a mention, but above all there is one thing I like to do: go to Zubieta.

It’s hard to explain how annoying it was for my parents to take me to see my idols practice. meet up close Kovacevic, Nihat, Prieto or Aranburu, with new signings, discover homegrown players I don’t know, enjoy games, shots, headers, collect hundreds of signatures that I keep in an unknown place and even get the ball. First you can go whenever you want, then almost always, then sometimes, and finally never. Now there are crumbs left in the form of two or three empty sessions at the beginning of July.

Information protection is understandable, but to a point. La Real is going through one of its best seasons, and fortunately, because preventing the youngest from getting close to the team from their land is more difficult to build loyal fans than to win.
