Celta de Vigo reported this Wednesday that they have agreed on Lommel SK for the transfer of the young striker Alvaro Santos to the Belgian team, although the celestial entity retains a repurchase option on its federative rights.
“Today is a difficult day for me, it’s time say goodbye and say goodbye. Celtic have been my house and my family over the years, a team that has bet on me and helped me grow as a sport”, declared the under-18 international.
Santos, one of the pledges of the sky-blue youth academy, has committed to Lommel SK until 2026, club belonging to the City Football Groupowner of Manchester City, Girona, New York City (USA), Melbourne City (Australia), Sichuan Jiuniu FC (China) or Yokohama F. Marinos (Japan), among other teams.
Celta thanks Álvaro Santos for his “delivery and professionalism” during his time at the sky-blue youth academy, and wished him “the greatest success” in his new venture in Belgian football.
