6-0: Norway celebrate without Haaland

Date:

Without having to resort Erling Haalandalong with the debutante Antonio Nusa released and the attack of Celta Jorgen Strand Larsen at a high level, Norway refined this Thursday against a minor rival, Jordan, who fulfilled his condition of ‘sparring’ and hardly objected to the comfortable victory of the Scandinavian team (6-0), in a friendly match in preparation for the qualifying phase of Euro 2024.

Spain’s rivals on the journey to the final stage of Germany 2024, third in the table with two defeats and one draw and only one victory, against Cyprus, the team of Staale Solbakken its margin of error is reduced. They have not qualified for a European Championship for twenty-four years. Now, with one of the best generations in its history, it aims to regain lost ground.

Norway had a feast ahead of Tuesday’s match Georgia. He barely stepped on the accelerator. The first half was enough for him. Then, the pace slowed down and the collision became balanced.

The Scandinavian team was motivated by Nusa, striker of Club Brujas, 18 years old and debutant in the senior team. He was the most active at the beginning, when Solbakken’s team showed obvious excellence. In the eleventh minute he opened the scoring with a pass from Jorgen Strand Larsen and in the 22nd, Kristoffer Ajer, Brentford’s central defender, headed a corner into the net by Fredrik Aursnes.

After half an hour it was Celta’s forward, Larsen, who completed a Antonio Nusa pass and, after avoiding the goal, scored a third. The fourth came four minutes before intermission, scoring the Fredrik Bjorkan after receiving a ball from Larsen.

Due to many changes, the rhythm and attack decreased. It was there that Jordan stretched and approached their rival’s area in search of a goal to make up for their loss.

He did not capitalize on their tactics and in the end it was Norway who extended their advantage with two players appearing in the second half. In 80 he marked the fifth Bard Finne, which replaced Nusa, and in addition Hugo Vetlesento take over from Martin Odegaardrounded off the win.
