Rayo Vallecano’s coach, Francisco Rodríguez Vilches, declared after Wednesday’s 0-0 draw in Cádiz that he saw the number of cards shown in the match as “excessive”.
The coach of the visiting team told a press conference that the match was “a fair dispute” and that the referee, Hernández Maeso from Extremadura, “wanted to direct it that way.”
Regarding the dismissal of his team’s delegate, he said “we wanted to help (the referee) and I thought we were running out of time.”
Francisco admitted that at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium, against Cádiz, “we were better in the second half and less in the first.”
The Rayo coach indicated that we did not find the passing line in the first half, at half time we corrected it and got to know Trejo, Álvaro and Isi better after their departure.
